Quick intro to Versent (with more info at the end) - Versent are an Australian born technology company, focused helping enterprises think and act like startups by building highly available and scaleable technology platforms. We specialise in cloud-native solutions built on AWS, whether that be infrastructure, application, security or (what it normally is) - all of the above! We're ~5 years old and in that time we've scaled to over 300 people across Australia (mainly Sydney and Melbourne, with offices in Perth and Brisbane too), as well as Singapore and Denver in the US.


Our Perth office is about to hit a big growth phase and with that, we're looking for another Principal Consultant to join the family! You'll be joining an experienced Versent team who can help bring you up to speed on what we do and how we do it, as well as embed you with a client we have a strong relationship with.


Principal Consultants at Versent wear three main hats - running a delivery team, stakeholder engagement and technical oversight. You're essentially the conduit between the client and the engineering team, ensuring we're all working towards the same goal and clearing blockers on both sides.

Requirements

Your Experience:

  • You'll have deep experience in either infrastructure or application development, with experience both designing and implementing solutions
  • Have lead teams before following a hybrid Agile methodology.
  • Experience with AWS is a must, you don't need to know everything but need to be comfortable talking about it and know the core services.
  • A solid understanding of DevOps, comfortable talking about automation, pipelines and the culture shift required
  • A natural ability to influence and present across business and technical teams - pulling together meaningful transformational outcomes
  • The resilience required to deal with influences and blockers that come from dealing with large enterprises
  • Commercial acumen for developing proposals, statements of work or similar.
