Job Description

  • Responsible for planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems, cross-functions and cross business domain within the aviation flight crew area.
  • Given strategic direction and minimal oversight, delineates requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and systems views across multiple functional domains (within Sabre and between Sabre and its customer) on high profile and/or mission critical efforts and projects.
  • Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible solutions.
  • Expert in-depth knowledge and able to represent all customer’s (e.g., large, small, corporate, leisure) and industry needs; typically leads and coaches a team of subject matter experts.
  • Works on mission-critical high value (revenue) projects with large scale customer impact.
  • Creates Business Plans/supports (including business cases) to assure plans meet company goals and integrates these with technical programs and project plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, to serve as lead conduit between developers, architects, designers and with external and internal customers.
  • Leads cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems solutions.
  • Provides functional/technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
  • Provides consultation to users in detailed functionalities of automated systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems flows, engineering documentation, tools and architecture concepts required.
  • Supports Development staff by assisting with functionality questions, addressing testing issues, training on new products and all delivery planning aspects for deployment of a service or product, as assigned.
  • Subject matter expert in cross-functional domains; provides guidance and direction to less experienced business systems analysts.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


  • Minimum 8 years related experience.
  • Advanced computer software skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously while delegating work to subordinate or less experienced team members.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Requires understanding client-server architectures and the integration with legacy systems.
  • Expert domain knowledge in Airline crew scheduling, flight crew planning, or flight operations
  • Knowledge of airline regulatory requirements regarding flight crew duty, and flight period limitions.
