PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As the management consultancy of SAP, SAP Business Transformation Services (BTS) supports customers in identifying value creation potential in the planning of strategic IT projects and enabling Digital transformation journey. The aim is to create flexible, cross-company business processes and fit for purpose functionality, thereby assisting our clients’ growth and transformation outcomes significantly. SAP BTS is seen as a key enabler to grow the software and services business of SAP.
BTS delivers the Value advisory, Architecture and Digital Innovation services. The BTS services empower business and IT leaders to optimize the value of their businesses through best-in-class processes, organization and solutions. It helps the customer to achieve the desired business outcomes of their business transformations.
Key Skills:
+ A proven ability to understand and develop a framework of business rules, processes, functions and actors based on a review of extant legislation (with a specific focus on Social Services / Social Protection)
+ A proven ability to deliver well developed business architecture with a specific focus on TOGAF or an aligned Enterprise Architecture approach.
+ A proven ability to generate Process Models to a high degree of detail (too level 5 within the BPMN 2.0 methodology), preferably in SAP solution context
+ A proven ability to model business capabilities including current future and transitional business states recognising the importance of transition business state planning
+ A proven ability to consume technical documentation and translate this information through a number of presentations models into business-friendly language.
+ A deep expertise in existing government processes especially as they apply to ICT procurement and delivery across Federal and State jurisdictions.
+ The ability to understand the implications of emergent technologies and how they can be applied to existing business processes and organisational structures including but not limited to: Cognitive machine learning, Predictive Analytics and New Interaction platforms including Mobile and Omni channel.
+ A proven ability to communicate with Technical Stakeholders, Policy Owners and Program delivery executives in a both federal and state agencies.
+ Understanding of or ability to learn Design Thinking and Business Transformation methodologies and apply them to client experience is critical.
+ An interest in politics and the more general political process is critical to this role
+ A strong conceptual ability to process new information no matter what the source, an ability to consume academic and business use cases and translate them into relevant examples for our clients
+ Proven experience in information architecture and the role effective information management plays in supporting improved decision support services across the enterprise (strategically, operationally and tactically).
+ Just being curious would be a real asset
Experience:
A combination of the following:
+ Five years plus in government or not for profit organisation with either service delivery or policy development as a core responsibility.
+ Experience as Chief or Lead/Principal architect of at least one major business change program
+ Ten years plus in an ICT delivery role with Project Management, Functional Consulting or Senior Business Analysis as a core responsibility.
+ Some level of direct consulting and pre-sales experience.
+ Exposure in SAP programs of work will be distinct advantage
