Together with our sister company Infopulse, also part of Tietoevry Create, we are expanding our presence in Latin America and will be looking for experts in the telecom industry in Argentina. This collaboration aims to leverage our combined expertise to deliver exceptional digital transformation solutions in the telecommunications sector.
About the Role
We are looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager who will report directly to the Head of EMEA Carrier & Collocation Procurement or Head of Carrier & Collocation Procurement. You will play a vital part in supplier performance management, actively participating in regular review meetings and optimizing existing relationships to achieve better buying positions. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will define portfolio requirements and manage key supplier relationships, conducting evaluations, negotiating contracts, onboarding and implementing corrective action plans. Your role will involve managing purchase orders, service order forms, invoice checking, and authorization while effectively handling contract changes and renewals to ensure compliance and drive cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in regular supplier performance review meetings as necessary
  • Review and optimize existing supplier relationships to improve buying positions
  • Stay updated on market trends and supplier products
  • Assist in evaluating, selecting, and onboarding new suppliers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define portfolio requirements
  • Manage key supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, due diligence, and corrective action plans
  • Maintain Supplier Score Cards to track supplier performance
  • Conduct negotiations and seek cost reduction opportunities with selected vendors
  • Analyze and improve Master Service Agreements (MSA) and ensure contract compliance
  • Support the implementation and management of preferred supplier relationships
  • Drive strategic RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
  • Negotiate commercial terms for new and existing colocation premises
  • Responsible for backbone and infrastructure quotes
  • Handle quotations for in-house cabling in validated colocation facilities
  • Review and validate requests, negotiate pricing, and secure purchase orders
  • Prepare and validate Service Order Forms
  • Collaborate with Delivery for order placement and manage contract changes
  • Act as the main commercial contact for third-party suppliers
  • Provide support for expedited and escalated quotations and deliveries
  • Manage dismantle orders and drive contractual renewals
  • Maintain accurate and valid third-party inventory
  • Manage invoice disputes, perform invoice checking, matching, and authorization

Requirements

  • Solid and in-depth knowledge of the telecommunication sector and carrier market
  • Proficient understanding of vendors and suppliers offering capacity products and services
  • Relevant experience in the IT field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication abilities
  • Collaborative team player who embraces flexibility and adapts to changes
  • Competent in planning, with excellent organizational skills and effective decision-making
  • Self-disciplined, persuasive, and proactive in taking initiative
  • Fluent professional English
