​Job Description:
  1. Provide the onsite support for the given commodities within Body-Exterior
  2. Provide a single point of contact for the engineering discipline in the assembly plant for the LVEA & Regional Engineering team.
  3. Provide expertise in root cause analysis for respective issues.
  4. Work with suppliers to successfully launch components or systems as required.
  5. Work with Ford Purchasing, Ford Design and Release engineer and suppliers to source commodities.
  6. Work with suppliers to develop parts on time and with quality to support new vehicle launch.
  7. Perform primary engineering duties during vehicle launches, onsite at assembly plant including root cause analysis as issues arise.
  8. Identify containment actions for issue during builds to contain remaining vehicle and institute permanent fixes, within area of responsibilities.
  9. Validate Bill of Material prior to each build phase to ensure correct parts are ordered and available for assembly.
  10. Ensure Ford Lessons Learned from previous builds is incorporated to avoid repeat issues.
  11. Maintain and update Ford systems to support the launch metrics.
  12. Maintain and update Ford systems to support the lead engineering teams in other regions.
  13. Drive issue resolution from the local team back through the lead engineering teams including root cause analysis as issues arise.
  1. Engineering degree or relevant engineering experience 
  2. 3+ years of experience working as an engineer on Body system or Plastic applications
  3. Previous experience in vehicle product development processes and project management idea.
  4. Design and release experience in an engineering team for a complete Program Cycle
  5. Have experience to work across region and work with multi cultural cross functional team 
  6. Excellent problem solving and issue resolution experience 
  7. Desired leadership behaviors include drive for results, diversity and technical excellence.
  8. Proficiency with PC software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  9. Excellent in English communication skill
  10. Proficient with  Sheet metal, Stamping, Body system or Plastic applications
  11. Excellent knowledge of GD&T, LD (Locator Drawing)
