This position will guide right priority decisions, manage complexity based on customer segmentation, and provide guidance to Sales for account planning with strategic marketing intelligence.

The Sr. Analyst Product Management is in charge of understanding the market, Novelis' customers, but also Novelis' capacities and core capabilities. This understanding shall then help to define the appropriate commercial and portfolio strategy, our product development pipeline, process improvements, and investment needs.

Main Responsibilities:

Administration of transactional pricing and competitor pricing database

  • Lead pricing administration under the supervision of Manager Product Mgmt to ensure the quality, integrity and timely update of pricing information from past deals

  • Collect and maintain competitor pricing database through both internal and external resources and inputs

Support Product Costing and Lead the related analysis to generate list price

  • Collaboration with Value Stream Finance to conduct cost calculation on SKU-level, including impact of cost-saving initiatives

  • Usage of such data to conduct deep-dive analyses and review of price elements (as part of an overall pricing strategy)

  • Generate list price based on cost database, transactional pricing and competitor pricing

  • Work with global for pricing excellence tool and price management solution

Suppoort Value-based pricing

  • Support the development of value-based pricing framework and provide related inputs

Improve pricing governance and processes

  • Support price target setting and pricing strategy through analysis (using value-based pricing, cost-based pricing, and competition-based pricing) and insights

  • Develop and maintain reporting to assess pricing performance

  • Improvement of the RfA process and according tools

  • Improvement of existing processes, like the commercial offer process, pricing reviews, etc.

  • Improvement of the Automotive Sharepoint and development of standard templates


  • Bachelor degree or above, MBA is a plus;

  • More than 5 years working experience in marketing function in automotive industry or related service firms for strategy expertise. Strategic marketing or material engineering experience is a plus;

  • Strong analytical thinking with business acumen

  • Good communication skills to listen actively, speak candidly and challenge respectively

  • Able to organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail

  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills

  • Fluent English & Chinese and solid MS-Office skills

  • Use of digital tools, including Salesforce, Power BI
