As a product manager at Alation you will be responsible for all aspects of creating and delivering the Alation SaaS offering. You will be accountable for deploying Alation on multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), managing the scrum teams, and collaborating cross-functionally with product design, marketing, sales, and services to drive product and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Drive all aspects (pricing, execution, enablement, etc) of our Cloud strategy and roadmap to ensure Alation exceeds the expectations of Enterprise IT organizations
- Partner with GTM teams to formulate new business models around a Cloud offering
- Manage and build marketplace offerings in AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Define and execute on the Alation Cloud roadmap to ensure customers understand the value they’re getting from this offering
- Be the thought leader and voice of the Alation SaaS offering to customers, executive team, sales, marketing, and engineering
- Collaborate closely with your PM colleagues, design and engineering to execute on your vision & roadmap
- Create detailed strategy documents to set the context for the product roadmap
- Educate and enable sales and marketing teams
- Build and maintain an effective and groomed backlog providing clear requirements for new initiatives and enhancements
- Manage and communicate release schedules, goals, and dependencies internally and externally, partnering with customers, sales, customer success and marketing
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise / B2B SaaS product experience in an agile environment
- Background with AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred
- Has transitioned an enterprise software product from on-premise to the cloud
- Experience scaling enterprise / B2B software products with demonstrable results
- Self-starter with strong creative problem solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Have delivered user experiences that are empowering, delightful and well-designed
- Strong ability to discuss technical details and collaborate with engineers & product design while clearly communicating with leadership, sales, marketing and customers
- Have in depth knowledge of cloud data platforms, data science, data management, analytics or the BI space
