At General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada, we have an opening for a Product Owner for our Aurora Data Management System (DMS) Software team. The successful individual will lead a team of professionals in advancing the DMS for the CP140 Aurora long-range patrol aircraft. The DMS provides an integrated interface to control multiple sensors providing an operator access to information from sensors like RADAR, the Acoustics Signal Processor, and the Electro-Optical/Infrared turret.
This DMS is “In-Service” (that is - it is currently flying) and every product advancement will directly help both the operators and the maintainers of the CP140 fleet.
The systems on the aircraft are constantly evolving so the Product Owner will need to elicit customer vision for product advancement and will work with representatives from DND (like 415 Squadron), L3 MAS, and GDMS-C to identify sound business cases for product advancement; ensuring user requirement capture, solution development, integration, user acceptance, and operational deployment. The DMS SW team is made of 12 dedicated professionals working in 2 LeSS scrum teams that interface with several matrixed teams (Airworthiness, Safety, Cyber Security, Simulation, and Ground Support).
