The mission of the Product Manager Power Projection Enablers (PdM P2E) is to provide a full spectrum of required strategic network and information services within all Combatant Commands (COCOMs) through the implementation of a standardized, global info-structure that is scalable, accessible, and defensible, providing continuous communication and coordination across global operations.
The selected candidate gathers, identifies and relates data to conduct analysis of management problems and requirements. Follows established modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities and to determine problem areas and develop solutions. Works with multiple data sources and information systems in support of assignments. Generates a variety of written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or possible alternatives and probability of success. Reports may be recurring or ad hoc based on business needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Gathers, identifies and relates data to conduct analysis of management problems and requirements.
Follows established modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities and to determine problem areas and develop solutions.
Works with multiple data sources and information systems in support of assignments.
Generates a variety of written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or possible alternatives and probability of success.
Support Project Officer, Team Lead and Integrated Product Teams in the execution of program tasks.
Advise government client on strategies to improve processes, implement recommendations and execute program initiatives.
Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information to support schedule and project management.
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
Define tasks and activities to support development and deployment of software, providing reasonable estimates for levels of effort needed to accomplish tasks.
Use project management tools to monitor project progress and report status to Program Manager.
Assist with the development of briefs to convey information, interpret data, and request decisions. Assist with coordinating, scheduling, and executing meetings and preparing supporting media.
Attend client meetings, capture action items and meeting minutes, document any technical action items, provide input in the integrated master schedule, and communicate with stakeholders, as needed.
Develop and update routine reporting documentation, including weekly and monthly deliverables leveraging best practices and project templates. Develop Program Management Review (PMR) Briefs and Program Management Plans (PMP).
Develops mitigation and/or remediation recommendations for discovered issues within the production solution.
Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
Position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and excellent oral and written Program Support & System Design Requires strong organizational knowledge, Microsoft Office Required and Microsoft Project a strong plus.
Strong interpersonal skills for Customer Ability to multitask across several requirements Strong office management skills Strong communications skills to include providing briefs to customers Proficiency with Microsoft Project for daily use.
Working knowledge of the DoD acquisition process in accordance with the DoD 5000.02 and professional knowledge published by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU).
Familiar with Agile methodologies.
Ability to accomplish assigned tasks without constant direct oversight, maintain attention to detail and quality, manage work /track deadlines, and use critical thinking and problem solving.
Ability to prepare and present a professional topic to clients
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active (DoD) TS/SCI clearance.
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
