SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Program Development and Coordination:
- Program development, evaluation, and implementation of the National Accreditation Program of Breast Centers (NAPBC) at Kings County Hospital.
- Facilitate adherence to NAPBC Standards
- Ensures fulfillment of NAPBC Requirements
- Take lead in the development of required documents for initial accreditation (e.g. protocols, policies, etc.)
- Assist with value-based care initiatives by leading process improvement initiatives
- Works closely with the physician chair of NAPBC to ensure compliance with and documentation of all accreditation requirements
- Attends quarterly Cancer Committee meetings (CoC and NAPBC)
- Compile data and presents reports in quarterly meetings as needed
- Is present for all accreditation site visits and assists with the overall planning and execution
- Coordinate and facilitate a schedule of various types of meetings (i.e. clinical service line meetings, staff meetings, planning meetings, program development meetings, etc.); arrange scheduling details, send out reminder notices, follow-up to confirm participants' attendance; ensure ready availability of relevant information and materials needed for discussion and/or distribution at meetings; process and coordinate meal requests/arrangements; maintain meeting records in an organized and efficient manner. Documents and distributes Committee meeting minutes.
Skills:
- 2 years in admin and management
- NAPBC Program Manager/Certification Specialist knowledge and experience
- Relevant experience in project management, with a track record of managing projects from conceptualization to scale.
- Ability to complete work independently with broadly defined work objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including ability to tailor technical material to a variety of audiences (e.g., administrative and technical leaders; front-line staff).
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, transparency and accountability in all work product.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with a variety of individuals, groups, and organizations.
- Previous staff management experience preferred.
- Previous experience in NYC government and/or public health entities/hospitals/community-based organizations preferred.
- NYC residency preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
- Prior experience in NPBC/CoC or any oncology standards and accreditation components
- Ability to prepare for surveys and manage corrective action plans
- Documentation management and organization
- Ability to interpret performance metrics and quality indicators
- Analytical thinking and data interpretation
- Development and implementation of policy and procedure documents
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary team members through accreditation steps Strong cross-functional communication

Education:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Master's degree - preferred
