Job Description

Your primary role is to provide end to end management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for Health and Benefits business. Primarily, it will consist of building and running the RFP to summarizing and evaluating proposals received. You will coordinate and manage proposals/projects on an assigned basis and work with the consulting team and SMEs, to ensure appropriate strategies/steps are used to accurately meet the objectives of the proposal. Additionally, you will conduct analyses which will support finalize selection and awarding the business.

The Role
  • Build RFP’s with H&B RfP administration tool, Proposal Tech by creating and reviewing questionnaire and accompanying data and exhibits with other colleagues to understand the deliverables of the proposal
  • Finalize the RFP to distribute to the carriers via Proposal Tech
  • Review, organize and manipulate financial templates
  • Manage due dates and timelines associated with the RfP
  • Evaluate proposals when responses are provided by the carriers
  • Evaluate carrier’s competitive pricing, financial terms and/or qualitative responses
  • Summarize the preliminary and best-and-final offers (BAFO) from the carriers  
  • Incorporate responses available in RfI (Request for Information) database into the summary report
  • Prepare summary reports for clients based on evaluation and negotiations, which enables them to make carrier selections
  • Produce and report analysis based on client requirements
  • Coordinate with members of the RfP team to produce deliverables within time critical schedules
  • Ensure that process documents produced by RfP team are clear, concise and easy to use
 

The Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or other related field desired.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in RfP management, proposal writing, sales bid responses or related writing experience desired.
  • Experience in proposal development, pricing, document management, transition / implementation planning is required
  • Excellent communication skills along with strong writing and editing skills
  • Working knowledge of web-based tools and RFP process
  • Experience working Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong critical thinking capabilities and the willingness to apply skills proactively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments at the same time
  • Possesses a desire to ask questions to deliver a better work product
  • Team player with ability to work as a group and independently
  • Ability to collaborate and work across all levels of the organization, work in teams, leverage the resources of other related groups to accomplish common objectives, and work on virtual teams across geographies.
  • Project management skills required; ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines is a must.
