Description:

  • Individual will provide project administration, scheduling, financial processing and technical administration assistance to Project Surveyors and Project Managers.
  • Assist with monitoring projects to ensure cost, timeframes and work performance with existing projects and see that project control requirements are met.
  • Assist with monitoring, inspecting and reviewing survey work performed meets technical specifications, work schedules and budgets.
  • Assist with directing multiple field crews, compiling internal documentation and other evidence for solving complex problems and ensuring the quality of the deliverables.
  • Assist with the inspection of deliverables for accuracy and correctness.
  • Provide mapping and AutoCAD support.
  • Demonstrate a culture of safety and environmental compliance.


Required Skills


Required Experience
  • Two-year Associates degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology and/or 3 years of field surveying experience.
  • Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, Certified Surveying Technician or other similar certifications are preferred.
  • Basic experience with field surveying procedures and equipment as related to current industry standards.
  • Basic knowledge of laws and regulations affecting land surveying and land rights.
  • Basic understand of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
  • Ability to estimate project quantities, and cost for boundary surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or the current industry standard (open drawings, compute closures, edit drawing information, create minor drawings, plot points and import and export data).
  • Basic knowledge of GIS systems, data reliability and support of company resources related to GIS technology.
  • Prior experience working in a project oriented service business a must.
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience; MS Project preferred.
  • Must be responsible, organized, detail-oriented, inquisitive and assertive with a take-charge attitude and concern for follow-through to completeness.
  • Ability to work as part of a large team consisting of professional and technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and initiate action without waiting for detailed instruction.
  • Should have enough persuasive skills, empathy and sociability to work closely with people in potentially difficult situations and develop effective, trustworthy working relationships with Project Managers and others.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
