Job Description



This client are one of the leading civil contractors in Queensland. Their ongoing success is due to the high quality work they deliver to their clients, the people and the communities in which they operate. They have forged strong ties with local government, TMR and a host of private sector clients. They have won a land mark road job in Cairns, the design is just about complete and they are ready to mobilise. This job will last two years, it will be on a residential basis (relocation assistance offered if needed) and we are looking for engineers who have worked on areas as follows: * Earthworks - R&R unsuitable , embankment, preloads / surcharge , subgrades * Drainage both RCP and large RCBC / SLBC * Pavements - Granular / Foamed Bitumen / Sealing / Asphalt * Road Furniture - safety barriers, signs, line marking * Electrical - conduits, Street Lighting The majority of the work will be self performed. Key Responsibilities: * Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the construction program is on track. * Assist the Project Manager to liaise with the clients representative to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issues. * Assist the Site Supervisor in the organisation of labour and equipment * Procurement of materials and Services * Review and approve subcontract and supplier invoices and claims * Attend weekly site meetings with the client * Assist the Project Manager to prepare weekly and monthly project reports as required by the project and Senior Management * Management and planning of the engineers workload You will have: * Degree qualified as a Civil Engineer or equivalent * Experience in delivering TMR projects over $50m ideally. * 5 - 8 Years experience, with min 2+ year's experience in a similar role * Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders * Strong leadership ability * A genuine commitment to strong WH&S culture and values.
