Manages the implementation of all pricing related platforms/solutions in Syngenta. Ensures the integrity, availability, and security for that same platforms. Works closely with Commercial and Finance Business leaders, understands short and long term business goals, and collaborates on plans to achieve those goals by delivering leading-edge Pricing systems. Understands the importance of end user experience plus best practices of pricing and focuses on quality of user design, technical design, quality assurance of testing, and high availability. Understands and delivers on the Omni-channel (desktop/mobile) experience goals of the company, looking out at the medium and long term business strategic goals.
Critical to this role is ensuring that the right mix of IT capabilities, both internal and external, is in place and integrated across the commercial platform lifecycle. Optimized cost, good user experience, and platform performance must all be balanced.
The Pricing Projects lead will also support the transformation of some key IT methods to more current ways of working, which includes agile delivery of change and support, as well as new models that support new digital technologies and solutions. This will require a leader with the ability to understand and be an ambassador for the future model and the positive impact it will have on Syngenta’s business.
This leader will ensure effective coordination of effort across the Syngenta IT landscape, working closely with the CP and Seeds IT Regional Teams, and with the other areas of Commercial platforms, in order to support integrated planning and solution delivery.
Leads teams in the development, implementation, and support of the various pricing platforms used for Portfolio Pricing, Commercial Terms, Customer specific offers and associated pricing analytics.
Develops the current and future Syngenta & 3rd party talent to lead Pricing platform.
Oversees the technical design and architectural framework for pricing specific systems and projects.
Implements platform to maximize usability, accessibility, and end users experience leveraging internal and external APIs, databases and other data sources.
Directs the development and maintenance of standard operational procedures for all pricing related technology and infrastructure activities.
Oversees the scheduling, control and progress of pricing systems design, development and installation activities.
Develops trusted and open relationships with key business and IT partners at senior and executive level.
Works closely with and manages strategic pricing vendor partner relationships.
Defines the pricing applications strategy in support of the business strategy.
Conducts capacity monitoring and planning of the pricing environment to ensure appropriate acquisition of IT resources to stay well ahead of game.
Coordinates between internal and external resources, ensuring effective communication between all groups and individuals involved in pricing projects.
Owns all interactions with third party auditors regarding pricing platform systems, IT controls and privacy issues.
Develops expense and capital budgets proposal and stay within those budgets.

Proven skills and experience in leading the implementation of IT and Functional strategies on the pricing space, both technology and impact on business operations.
Strong experience in Pricing and Commercial platforms.
Experience in a managerial position in a technology group with a proven track record for development talent.
Major Pricing Platform implementation experience required (Vendavo, CPQ, Vistex, Pros); Vendavo and Vistex product suite experience preferred.
Additional experience required in platforms like Salesforce, SAP and Qliksense (for analytics).
Extensive career experience leading delivery organizations.
Demonstrated ability to lead and catalyze organizational change.
Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver high profile/value projects, changes, incident resolution “Make it happen / Hands-on” attitude.
Experience with offshore and nearshore operations.
Management of senior stakeholders.
Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
Awareness of developments in the IT marketplace and understands their relevance to Syngenta
Strong business and financial management skills.
