Controls Project Leader

Your challenge:

Dematic is looking for a talented Controls Project Leader, to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio. He/She will work with an international PLC Team in order to develop complex system for automated warehouse. Click here!

The Automation Engineer is going to:

• Design and develop the software packages created "ad hoc" according to specific client’s needs
• Develop software in office (40%of the time) and commissioning at the customer sites (60% of the time)
• Provide support for technical issues about automated warehouse
• Liaise with electrical, software and mechanical colleagues
• Provide Remote Assistance service to the final customer
• Collaborate with other colleagues from Spain, France and Lithuania
• Interface with the customer representative

Your challenge in the medium term:

• Become the focal point for the project
• Supervise Controls Engineers
• Monitor the project timeline from software point of view
• Control the budget

Who are we looking for?

A candidate with the following features:

• Have a real passion and enthusiasm for innovation and software development
• At least 4 years of experience in the industrial automation field
• Good experience in the development/programming PLC and in the use of the main automation PLC, as Rockwell, Siemens or other PLCs
• Good understanding of fieldbus systems and I/O equipment, e.g. Profibus and Profinet
• Bachelor's / Three Years Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering or Technical Diploma
• Available to frequently business travel especially in Italy and EMEA (60% of the time)
• Good knowledge of Italian and English written and spoken
• Experience in managing people will be a plus
