industries is looking for a
Director Commercial Project Management
for our entity FLSmidth GmbH based in Leoben.
The Director of Commercial Project Management acts as the primary contact though all phases of proposal and project execution for any commercial matters of project portfolio. The person leads cross-functional project support services teams on multiple projects in order to fulfill the as-sold project scope and meet contract commitments. The Commercial Project Director coordinates the efforts of multiple teams in the project execution, identifies and manages risk, and coordinates the financial project reporting with the input from project management involved in projects.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Pre-Contract Award & Contract Management
During pre-contract award phase he/she is required to collaborate closely with key FLSmidth departments both within and outside the project execution team (including Sales, Proposals, Product Line Management (PLM), Engineering, Finance, and Procurement) across domestic and international locations. The responsibilities may involve analyzing prepared budgets, making suggestions on cost-cutting methods.
During contract management phase he /she will oversee contracts, change control, quality control, document control, schedule and risk associated with the project portfolio.
Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards related to commercial contracts are necessary.
Monitoring and Providing Direction
Oversee and present progress reports with forecasts ensuring projects are fulfilling organizational goals and commitments.
In collaboration with the Director of Project Management, project portfolio performance is being monitored and threats are identified. Mitigation plans are then being developed for managing the risks and realize opportunities.
Ensure Standards are fitting with Global governance
Maintain and improve the standards and tools for commercial project management.
YOUR PROFILE & EDUCATION
Well-structured way of working
Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and to work in a team
Experience in improving tools and processes and driving change across multiple project locations.
Fluent in English language
Work permit for European Union existing
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance or accounting, or related filed of studies
Minimum 15 years of relevant commercial project management experience for domestic and international projects and preferably 10+ experience in managing people
Experience working in a mining, heavy equipment, or metals industry a plus; working with large complex scopes is required
Possess hands-on analytic controlling as a core competency, with a high level or expertise in Excel comprehension of complex ERP flows (Oracle experience preferred).
Effective verbal and written communication skills on a technical level with excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Well-developed contract negotiation and contract management skills.
