Being part of the Center Of Excellence (COE) within the continuous improvement department, the Industry 4.0 team is responsible for the realization of the digital transformation & data science projects for Imerys operations group: more than 16000 employees, 230+ sites in 45+ countries.
Initially the scope is focused on the pilot site, in Belgium, which will allow us to validate the model of Imerys factory of the future to extend the program to other strategic sites in the group.
The position is based in Lixhe (Belgium) until at least September 2022, during that period, the position is reporting to the Lixhe site manager and dotted line to the group Ind 4.0 program manager.
For this mission he/she will be in charge of managing four direct reports.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage locally the flagship program, working closely with the site team (at all levels), and being the main point of contact with the group COE
Manage four direct reports (automation, instrumentation, process engineer and advanced process control engineer & control tower project manager).
Oversee the project progress on site with the project leaders to ensure
action plans with key priorities are defined, communicated and followed
involvement and ownership of solution users.
KPIs are in place and monitored to validate project benefits identified
efficient project control tools (cost, timing, quality and risks) and take corrective actions when necessary.
savings are tracked as per group methodology and in alignment with financial controllers rules and validation process
Get involved in the final decision loop of technical solutions for the projects, in the view of understanding and validating the benefit it will bring, as well as the potential of duplicability to other sites.
Project management for few of Industry 4.0 initiatives on site (ex: digital shop floor and warehouse automation)
Manage and track the projects from feasibility studies to implementation ensuring the CER (Capex Expenditure Request) dossiers are developed according to Imerys protocols.
Communicate on the progress at site, Hub, BA and group level to keep the business informed on the project progress, roadblocks, achievements.
Participate in and support preparation of the SteerCos & OpCos
Contribute to the creation of methodology to prepare the assessment and deployment in other sites. This includes site visits in other plants to validate the potential of a solution for the group and not only for the pilot plant.
Give training and coaching to various level of the organization about the new methodologies and tools of Operational Excellence 4.0
Be a change leader to increase awareness of benefits solutions will bring, while assuring a clear communication to avoid rejection due to a misunderstanding.
Participate in a external benchmarking group to get familiar with the practices, methodologies, failures and success of other organizations on the digital transformation journey
