Purpose of the job
To manage the delivery and successful integration of one or more wayside sub-systems including Platfrorm Screen Doors, Switch Beams and specialized Depot Equipment for Rolling Stock automatic undercar inspection, from design close-out phase through installation, testing and commissioning to final approval/acceptance. Ensure that all associated activities are undertaken to the specified budgets, timescales, specifications and OHS requirements.
1.Manage sub-system suppliers to ensure delivery of the scope in accordance with Quality, Time and Cost requirements leveraging the support of a multi-functional internal team (Procurement, Installation/T&C, Engineering, Quality Control Inspectors). Ensure effective liaison with the project support functions through the matrix organization relationship.
2.Co-ordinate activities of suppliers and internal staff with the Customer/Concessionaire and its nominated contractors, and to satisfy the requirements of other applicable stakeholders such as MRTA. Build excellent relationship with the customer.
3.Ensure the rigorous application of the company project management processes (DPS, ROP, MEP, Change Management etc) together with any specific project requirements, procedures and processes. Responsible for providing progress evidence to support milestone payment application in a timely manner.
4Lead the OHS&E activities associated with the scope ensuring all required processes and procedures are applied by BT and the sub-system suppliers from point of shipping through delivery, installation and commissioning to final acceptance.
5.Assist the Project Director in resolving key issues regarding (but not limited to) change orders, claims, and critical technical issues related to wayside sub-systems scope.
•Minimum BS in Engineering or Management, or equivilent proven industry experience.
Relevant experience required
•Good experience in rail system project delivery
•Project management experience
•Experience in PSD (Platform Screen Doors) and/or large mechanical and electrical systems and civil interfacing
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
•Familiar with PM processes.
•Knowledge of rail system wayside.
•Currently based in Thailand due to visa and travel restrictions.
•Familiar with Asian and International supply chain
