The Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Project Managers and Junior Project Managers to ensure translation projects are delivered according to IQVIA’s standards and client requirements. He/she builds and maintains strong relationships within the team as well as with internal and external stakeholders and clients. He/she ensures that all projects in his/her portfolio are delivered on time and budget and recommends synergies, improvements and experiments as needed. The Team Lead also shares best practices and findings within their hub and with other hubs. He/she provides the Operations Director with hub effectiveness metrics according to agreed KPIs and frequencies.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Lead the distribution and allocation of translation projects according to requirements and available resources
Create and maintain a portfolio of translation projects based on criteria such as client, specialty or target language(s)
Manage the assessment of client’s expectations or specifications and advise on best practices when appropriate to ensure content effectiveness and client satisfaction
Maintain excellent relationships with internal/external clients and manage any escalations or issues that may arise
Help the Operations Director with the selection, recruitment and evaluation of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Junior Project Managers
Monitor and control projects status and progress within his team
Control budget of projects and ensure all work is completed within assigned budget
Comply with relevant and applicable IQVIA procedures
Work with Senior Project Managers to help in the training and development of junior staff.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Team Lead in the Language Services industry
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or scientific field OR at least 5 years of experience
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong asset
Degree in Linguistics, Translation or Localisation related subject would be preferred but is not essential
Permanent attention to project management effectiveness whilst maintaining high quality standards
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities and changing demands
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills including the collection, management and presentation of data
Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative
Demonstration of very good IT skills
Experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ as well as with any TMS would be highly advantageous
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the hub as well as with clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence
Ability to foster personal and professional development of team members as well as contribute to succession planning when needed
