The Role

The Megaport Engineering team is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, delivering, and operating our network infrastructure and software services. Megaport’s services generate a constant stream of challenges, which requires the continuous evolution of our technologies. Creative, coupled with excellent software project management skills, you will be results focused when managing multiple priorities across a significant volume of projects. You are highly autonomous and your attention to technical and organisational detail enables you to deliver quality results in a timely manner.  

Please note, this is a full-time role based in Brisbane, Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available and full working rights in Australia will be required for the role.

What you'll be doing
    • Ensure timelines are met and resources are managed aligned to our strategic roadmap.
    • Consult with Engineering teams to outline technical requirements and new feature sets.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to position product releases, create marketing collateral and generate sales leads.
    • Full product lifecycle and responsibility for its successful execution. This includes everything from tracking technical deliverables, milestone completion, administration, and change management.
    • Manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
    • Provide timely estimates, as well as manage internal expectations around delivery; ensuring scope is managed and that stakeholders are satisfied and informed at all times.
    • Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
What we are looking for
    • 3+ years project management experience with gradually increasing level of experience managing multiple projects concurrently
    • Strong background in: user-interface / user-experience design process, Front-end frameworks and architecture, Software development
    • Ability to work closely and interface well with business and engineering teams
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including ability to adapt information delivery based on target audiences
    • Skills in problem resolution, team building, negotiation, establishment of effective processes, tracking results and support systems.
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex, matrixed environments with minimal oversight.
    • An agile mindset with the ability to work in a transparent and collaborative manner
    • Experience with agile methodologies e.g. SCRUM preferred.
