Senior Project Officer (multiple positions)
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of Working for Victoria Group. Working for Victoria has been established to help Victorians, including people who have lost their jobs due to the economic impacts of COVID19, find work. The group is responsible for implementing the $500 million economic and job stimulus program aimed at maximising job creation in a timely manner; creation of a pipeline of jobs across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors; administering the Fund and executing grant agreements; managing the Sidekicker platform that facilitates job matching, screening and shortlisting employers and job seekers; and regular reporting to the department executive, the Minister's Offices and strategic communications groups.
The Senior Project Officer reports to the Manager of Projects. This role helps coordinate and implement the suite of projects and relationships within the Operations team to deliver a swift and valuable response to Working Victoria's mission and purpose. This role is also relied upon to provide advisory capacity to the Project Manager and the wider taskforce, an analytical mindset, problem solving ability and strong systems capabilities will be required.
To be successful in this role you will need a demonstrated ability to manage and deliver projects through stakeholder engagement. You will have a collaboration mindset and interest in using innovative techniques to deliver projects. You will be driven to improve employment opportunities and outcomes for Victorians in support of economic recovery.
