The Resources Division delivers innovative and effective technology-based solutions within the Library, supporting both internal operations and service delivery to Library users and provides effective and efficient acquisition, organisation and delivery of appropriate scholarly information resources to meet the education, research, and engagement objectives of the University.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative and technologically confident Project Manager to lead the implementation of RFID technologies in the 6 branch libraries of Monash University (located at Clayton, Caulfield, Parkville and Peninsula campuses). The Library seeks to transform its circulation and collection management functions and streamline traditional library workflows through RFID technologies. The RFID Implementation project will connect people, collections, and library services in a seamless user experience.

This newly designed role will be the key liaison point between the Library, internal and external client groups, and industry partners. This role works collaboratively to provide project management services to identify, evaluate, plan, and deliver RFID technologies into the Library.

Reporting to the Director, Resources and Technology, you will provide specialist advice that contributes to achieving the Library’s strategic objectives.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

  • High-level project management and services to support the end-to-end delivery of the RFID implementation project across all branches of the University Library

We are seeking a professional, ideally, with a qualification in project management and a commitment to providing excellent user experiences. You would have current knowledge of the challenges and opportunities relating to delivering IT projects across a diverse organisation and have highly developed communication, planning and organisational skills.

If you are interested in working across a diverse multi-site organisation and are interested in finding technology-based solutions that create flexibility and enable people to access information easily, then we look forward to receiving your application

This role is a fixed-term (12 month), part-time 0.8 fraction position; flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. This position at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
