In this role,
you will work within a Product Family (PF) and lead the establishment and
update of Product Engine Level 1 Schedule and Resource plan relating to
complex/critical on-cycle project (relating to a bid/contract) or
complex/critical off-cycle project related to Research and Development and
capitalisation projects.

Your responsibilities will
include:

Establish and update the Level 1 Schedule and
Resource plan in accordance with BT scheduling and resource planning procedure,
including leading the harmonization and integration of the scope of work with support
from Product development Planner (PdP) and planners from other divisions of BT
including ROQ, RCS and TCMS involved in the project

Regularly track and report progress against the
baseline schedule and continuously monitor risks and opportunities and may
develop scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans if required

Responsible for planning of resources required
to deliver product development and validation scope using standard methodology
(e.g. generic Product Breakdown Structure and Work Breakdown Structure)

Regularly update the relevant Controller with
any and all changes, progress, or delays to the RP to secure that implications
to the EAC are monitored

Provide the knowledge and the tools to plan the
project’s labour requirements for each scope of work and all related
deliverables to meet the needs of the project (this includes the application of
the generic WBS and using it as a labour and progress management tool
throughout the project)

Establish
and update the resource plan, including leading the harmonization and
integration with Project schedules and challenges inputs from all parties

Qualifications

-
Engineering degree or degree in Business
administration / Management is an asset

-
Certification in PRINCE2 or PMP is an advantage

-
Working experience either in Engineering (e.g.
Project Engineering role), Project Management, Operations, Procurement, Bids,
Sales, or Finance

-
Practical experience of generating and
maintaining schedules and resource plans in Primavera P6 software

-
Proven track record in managing cross functional
Product development projects of similar scale

-
Experience with resource planning for groups
greater than 100

-
Knowledge of Scheduling, Resource planning
techniques and Earned Value Techniques

-
Knowledge of “System Engineering” design
methodology (including V&V/V cycle principles) is an asset

-
Railway industrial experience will be an
advantage

Fluent in English (languages are an advantage)
