Job Responsibilities

General responsibilities:
  • Support superior in managing day- -day operating expenditures against operating budgets ensure efficient usage of resources
  • Support the execution of procurement plans that will result in cost savings and greater economies of scale in line with the Group's procurement framework
  • Gather inputs on business requirements/specifications based on sales trends, s ck planning/forecasts, etc. Conduct general market research on potential suppliers, aligning it business requirements that cater business needs
  • Provide administrative support in the supplier tender process, including evaluation, selection, contract negotiation and finalization, adhering ethical business practices. Support the execution of contract renewal/discontinuation processes
  • Prepare and maintain records of purchasing documentation (e.g. purchase orders, shipping documents, etc.). Validate suppliers' invoices and prepare documentation facilitate the payment process (e.g. goods received note, payment voucher, etc.)
  • Follow up on orders/shipment progress and check s ck quantities/quality/pricing against that agreed. Escalate any s ck variances and discrepancies in s ck quality
  • Gather and compile monthly purchasing information for the purposes of purchasing reports preparation
  • Compile information and coordinate administrative activities related claims support Quality Assurance, Legal and management in minimizing liabilities and financial exposure
  • Respond basic queries and requests from internal stakeholders related purchasing documentation, shipping progress, delivery dates, etc. cater stakeholders' needs
  • Work closely with suppliers, shipping and logistics companies, etc. ensure the accuracy of quantity, quality and timely delivery of s cks
Leadership responsibilities:
Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of procurement/contract management/vendor management and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning

Job Requirements

Functional skills and knowledge:
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and hands-on experience in supply chain management/procurement/contract management/vendor management
  • Proven hands-on experience handling SAP and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (preferred)
  • Demonstrate basic research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity ols (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Technology or related field
Work experience:
Up two years of experience in a similar role/capacity, preferably in a purchasing department in a corporate environment
