WSP is currently initiating a search for an Entry Level Marketing Coordinator in our Dallas, Texas office.
Marketing/Proposal Coordinator I
This is an entry level position for a college graduate looking to start their career in a role supporting the national marketing team. They will learn WSP’s institutional knowledge, history of our portfolio of projects, and capabilities of our staff through the process of managing the Letter Proposals for Dallas and other markets within the USA.
This entry level role is primarily responsible for processing basic letter proposals in a timely manner, ensuring content is up-to-date, content is clear and consistent throughout, grammar and spelling is correct and key messaging has been inserted. This will include advancing boiler plate information and coordination with technical and Business Development staff.
Additional responsibilities include conducting market research as requested, including competitor analysis, selection panel profiling and client research. Searching and harvesting leads from public boards, client websites, newspapers, mailing lists, etc. and establishing a schedule of when, where, and what to search for on a regular time table.
The successful candidate will generate graphic layouts, search the company database for historical data and relevant proposal materials, interface directly with engineers to assist, improve, and communicate technical narrative and thoughts into compelling responses that emphasize all the benefits WSP brings to our clients.
Excellent technical writing skills (and editing abilities) are required to support content management of resumes, project descriptions, technical narratives and other marketing collateral.
This is a fast-paced job with multiple proposals coming in each day requiring quick turnaround. Successful candidates must be detail oriented, well organized,  and possess the ability to multi-task in a team environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage data entry and maintenance of the marketing CRM and other databases
  • Advance the content of resumes and project sheets through interviewing engineers and key project staff
  • Collaborate regularly with project managers, construction engineers, vendors or consultants to edit or write narrative non-technical sections of proposals
  • Research existing technical material and advance the content to 80 or 90 percent complete to turn over to an Engineer to finalize
  • Support team with winning new work by collaborating with marketing and technical staff to develop creative proposals, presentations and other business development materials
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical staff to develop proposals, presentations and business development materials
  • Assist with additional marketing efforts as required related to project pursuits, including developing compelling presentations and follow-up materials

Job Requirements
Marketing Activity Support:
  • Manage local events calendar and assist with managing staff registrations as requested.
  • Assist with local marketing events and campaigns, including planning, assisting with developing marketing materials and supporting follow-up activities.
  • Attend industry events.
  • Assist with Communications activities, including identifying and developing applications for staff speaking opportunities, submitting local news and participating in social media activities.
  • Maintain project photography catalogue and assist with organizing photo shoots as needed.
  • Maintain local awards calendar and assist with prepare award submittals.
  • Some travel may be required.
Required Skills:
  • BA in Communications, Journalism, or related degree.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail (samples may be required).
