You will establish and maintain privacy compliance as well as provide support to cross-functional teams on all privacy compliance activities in all regions as part of the Legal & Compliance team.
Analysis, understanding and visualization of data streams in the company with regard to tooling, inter-department data exchanges and our product
Monitoring, advising, drafting and negotiating data protection agreements/clauses including revision for GDPR, transfer mechanisms/Schrems II, and Brexit - and providing according Revenue Team support under GDPR, CCPA and upcoming privacy regulation in our markets
Supporting with DP related 3rd party vendor management process, including maintenance of database, contact with vendors and internal business owners, vendor questionnaires and risk assessment
Maintaining the GDPR compliance programme, set up processes and ensure appropriate records are maintained across privacy processes, e.g.:
Taking action as necessary to update and maintain ROPA on both the Controller and Processor side.
Conducting DPIAs as necessary
Implementing and carry out Incident Response Plan from internal case collection to preparation of submissions and replies to supervisory authorities and creating postmortem
Handling individual deletion/information requests
Implementing and maintain retention & deletion concept
Preparing and driving future execution of SOC2 / SOC2+ / ISO 27001 compliance
Acting as direct POC for external DPO
Creating of knowledge database and devising employee trainings
Carrying out legal Data Privacy research
Knowledge and understanding of data protection compliance that can be evidenced through work experience in a similar environment
Strong knowledge of the GDPR and other data protection laws and regulations, practices and legislation – knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations or exposure to them preferable
Strong interest in Tech organisations and IT-infrastructure and it’s security aspects preferable
Proven involvement/experience in the provision of data protection advice, guidance and data protection compliance processes
Detailed understanding of the rights of data subjects under privacy legislation (particularly GDPR)
Ability to communicate clearly in both English and German
Ability to find practical, pragmatic and creative solutions to data privacy issues
Confidence in dealing effectively with professionals across the company, interface with e.g. Office-IT/Infrastructure/Product departments
Strong influencing, negotiating, planning, organizing and analysis skills
Experience in legal environment is an advantage
Relevant data protection certifications, e.g. IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM) specialist accredited qualifications are preferable
