Public Access Lead

Reports to : Head of Market Access & Public Affairs

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functional internally as well as with external innovative product development / commercialization partners to develop and implement strategies to obtain timely coverage and reimbursement for Takeda’s approved therapies in Indonesia. This includes but is not limited to:

1.    Develop and execute on agreed policy priorities to meet Takeda Indonesia’s critical business needs.
2.    Serves as internal expert on the Indonesia approval processes and reimbursement policies to identity approaches and tools to address the needs of innovative therapeutic patients.
3.    Developing and applying an in-depth understanding of the organization, our portfolio and pipeline, and health care systems to build credibility and acceptance of Takeda product’s priorities among internal and external stakeholders and audiences
4.    Shape the external policy environment to enable patient access to approved Takeda innovative therapies, to include cultivating and maintaining relationships with appropriate and relevant Indonesia policymaker, payer, and patient advocacy stakeholders.  
5.    Leads  or contributes in the development of Takeda product public presentations, submissions, and projects in Indonesia, with input from the cross-functional business.
6.    Partners with team of PVA  and commercial operations, HSL, and other relevant functions to align and incorporate in-line product strategies and pipeline into Takeda Indonesia policy objectives

  • Managing JKN process, which includes but not limited to:

1.    End to End JKN Listing Process 
2.    Price proposal and negotiation
3.    Oversight on Account by Account Availability
4.    Demand Forecasting
5.    Managing distributor readiness

  • Specific ATM Brands: Ensure Access to JKN / District and undisrupted end-to-end access (transition pre/post)

1.    Identify Stakeholders insights
2.    Work closely with HSL and Medical to gain Medical Society positive recommendation
3.    Price negotiation with LKPP
4.    Working with Demand Manager to ensure no supply operational issues allowing timely and quality supply

  • Specific Vaccine: Ensure Access to Regional Immunization Program and National Immunization Program

1.    As above however with Vaccine related stakeholders
2.    Support VBU and Medical in pre-JKN activities eg. Demonstration programs
3.    Manage Vaccines KAM ensuring KAM Excellence

  • Leadership

1.    Lead and manage KAE/KAM
2.    Develop team’s KPIs
3.    Provide sufficient coaching and assisting team members to reach their goal
4.    Show strong competencies of drive for result, strategic thinking, and develop others 

  • Time allocation

     60-70% External engagement with key stakeholders

     30-40% Internal cross-functional engagement, strategic planning on pricing and value to enable access to existing and upcoming Takeda products

 Education and Experience:

1.    Bachelor degree or higher 
2.    5-8 years experience in Pharma/Biotech company in specialty-care access and reimbursement role
3.    Proven capability in JKN listing process for specialty care and/or vaccine products
4.    Proven track record of delivering on programs, policies and initiatives with complex business deliverables driving to success
5.    Demonstrated strategic enterprise thinking to find innovative ways to serve patients, and build trust, reputation and the business
6.    Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities and aligning across stakeholders to create an environment that promotes agreed upon priorities 
7.    Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and executing successful, forward-looking, proactive, comprehensive approaches to access and reimbursement policy
