Who We're Looking for?

Cascadia Metals is seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our growing team. This role will be a permanent, full-time position and is located at our Delta branch.

What we are looking for is a driven team member, who shares our champion mindset and values. This role requires completing and maintaining purchase orders for raw goods, materials, and supplies. This candidate will work closely with the sales departments to gather and submit orders across the entire organization. You will record purchases at the time of request and submit these orders for final approval from the department manager.


  • A good instinct for sales and building relationships with customers
  • Knowledge supply chain would be an asset.

  • Highly organized with strong ability to track, manage, and follow through on details

  • Manager inflow of products for quality assurance and meeting required deadlines
  • Create and maintain purchase orders
  • Maintain purchasing data and systems to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Coordinate, review and update product knowledge, warranty and pricing materials
  • Oversee vendor activiy


  • You have high attention to detail paired with a flair for accuracy
  • You can deal with repetitive tasks as well as pivot and re-prioritize as needed
  • Able to express ideas clearly, and proactively recommend and implement process improvements/solutions
  • A team player who enjoys working with a variety of creative thinkers
