Job Duties

  • Manage direct reports across multiple Scrum teams and time zones to ensure all products work together with Enterprise level quality.
  • Coach team members continuous automated and manual testing activity throughout agile development iterations to ensure zero defects
  • Lead and refine testing and release processes for multiple product lines, providing an keen eye to integration
  • Provide scorecards to management and engineering teams as to quality, quality gaps, and risks.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
  • Deliver business needs around high availability and high transactional throughput of a SaaS solution
  • Technical user and production support
  • Be Customer and Partner Facing, able to manage an external relationship.
  • Serve as an escalation path for production and user support cases
  • Be introspective, always trying to improve yourself and the team around you
  • Be a passionate voice of the customer within the development organization
  • Be a key participant in creating a Quality First and Zero Defects culture.

Qualifications  

  • 10+ years’ experience in quality assurance
  • 5+ years management in quality assurance
  • A strong understanding of test methodologies and software engineering by testing one or more products throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle, including multiple products that interface with each other.
  • Track record of significant demonstrable related work experience including writing test cases, test plans and code coverage
  • Experience in Continuous Integration
  • Experience in optimizing and scaling products.
  • Experience in supporting both a SaaS and on-premise products
  • Understanding of security protocols and best practices
  • Experience using performance, load, and reliability engineering
  • A strong background with SQL and one of the following: C#, JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility to work collaboratively with others in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, collaboration, follow-up and self-motivation 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence
  • Willingness to dive in and get to the bottom of a problem; egos need not apply
  • Experience building automation in Browser and RESTful and SOAP web services
  • Experience using various tools such as jMeter, Selenium, WebDriver, SOAPUI
  • Experience with VAT
