Function Specific Activities:
Role Purpose
Provides support to the Business Unit in the areas of Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE):
· Partners with BU functions, suppliers, bottlers, and contract packers in the delivery of Quality, Safety and Environment goals and in meeting the objectives of the Business Plan
· Manages and monitors compliance to the policies and standards of TCCC in the areas of Quality, Safety and Environment for suppliers, bottling operations and distribution.
· Provides proactive identification of potential areas of business and governance risks in the areas of Quality, Safety and Environment and develops programs to mitigate these risks
Delivers effective analytical reporting to lead effective corrective action programs
Quality, Safety and Environment monitoring and improvement
· Provide leadership and partner with bottlers in the establishment and achievement of the Business Unit Quality, Safety and Environment goals. Key area of focus is the management of compliance to TCCC policies and standards. Scope will include bottling operations and distribution centres in Australia, packaging and ingredient suppliers in South Pacific
· Perform on-site Operation risk assessments of bottling operations to support compliance to QSE requirements. Ensure proper reporting and recording of the assessments.
· Perform on-site or desk study audits of primary packaging and ingredient suppliers and ensure proper reporting and recording of the audit results.
· Partner with Site and State Quality Managers to ensure the implementation of the Quality, Food safety and Regulatory requirements
· Identify training and competency needs within operations or systems due to new process/product introductions. Develop or source appropriate training materials or skills to ensure that all competency gaps are closed out effectively.
Governance and risk management
· Ensure event-free introductions by the utilization of appropriate due diligence across Quality, Safety and Environment impact areas
· Follow BU Risk assessment process and ensure mitigation of identified risks
· Provides timely Analysis and Reporting on key metrics to Management
Quality, Safety and Environment issue resolution
· Quality, Safety and Environment: Support the implementation of corrective action and manage corrective action records in internal database.
· Communicates issues status to Management
· Implements Root Cause Analysis. . Ability to complete investigation in a timely manner.
· Assist sites and stakeholders on technical issues/queries as required
· Monitor Consumer insight data weekly and ensure all trends are investigated and resolved appropriately
· Communicate Quality requirements, standards and expectations
Qualifications & Experience required:
Minimum - Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Technology or related discipline.
Minimum - 3 years' experience in beverage or food manufacture, and Quality Assurance, Safety, Environment. Experience would include effective issue identification and resolution and capability to achieve results working through teams.
Demonstrated experience in communicating with and influencing key stakeholders and cross system/functional teams.
