We are looking for a strong Lead to add to our QA team. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited about working for a growing, international company that is building an amazing product.
The QA Lead is responsible for defining and implementing the quality assurance strategy for our web platform and is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the platform is fit for use.
We’re looking for a technical person with a passion for web technologies and experience in setting up a quality function, and in improving both the quality culture and strategy inside a mid to large-sized organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Driving the end to end quality and the testing strategy
Defining and leveraging both hard metrics (like test and release coverage) and qualitative user-impact assessments to determine and advise on the quality of the product
Setting up the right measures to detect early on when the platform has issues
Coaching and influencing developers to improve best practices
Leading and growing an inclusive team of diverse individuals through recruiting, coaching, and teaching other collaborators.
Building strong, lasting relationships across both engineering teams and organizational boundaries, especially with customer success, product and sales
You will work closely with our engineers to make sure they have the tools they need for success, with Product Managers to ensure that they factor in quality in the product design process, and with Customer Success to channel our users’ feedback to the product development team.
Solid Experience in defining the QA strategy for web/SaaS platforms
Passion for web technologies, and for shipping features that drive user adoption
Proven ability to influence and to coach people beyond the boundaries of your own team
Good understanding of web technologies such as: Python, Django, React, Typescript, Cypress and familiarity with both Relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Experience with distributed version control systems: mostly Git (Github and/or Bitbucket)
Experience with both functional and non-functional automated testing (e.g. performance, load and stress testing)
Familiarity with cloud provider systems in either AWS or Google Cloud
Experience with container automation technologies such as AWS ECS and Kubernetes
Experience with building CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins or Circle CI
High level of English proficiency, both spoken and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a sense of urgency and integrity
Passion for and experience in e-learning projects is a strong bonus.
