Entegris is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to implement quality assurance program to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards. This position is located at the Entegris Shanghai China.

The Customer Quality Engineering (CQE) role is dynamic and cross-functional. CQE’s interact at multiple levels and with multiple contact points within the Customer, Entegris and Supplier organizations. This role is high impact, high output and high visibility that requires a calm-assertive demeanor and capability to manage multiple ever-changing priorities. Within this role, the PACE value competencies are regularly required for success: Engage as guided with customers, sales teams and factory/product/supply chain/quality teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute CQE responsibilities as defined by the CQE Policy documents, Entegris business processes, account specific support plan and as led by CQE management.
  • Participate in varying levels of engagement with customers and company teams on Problem Solving, Change Management, Customer’s Document reviewing, VOC for NPI process managing and Internal Audits, Project Development, Product Support and Development Programs as well as many other cross-functional tasks and projects that are aligned with Entegris and Customer goals.
  • Be part of a global team that is designed to improve success of Entegris with our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at varying levels and varying degrees of complexity across a vast range of products, regions and companies. (customers and suppliers).
  • Demonstrate excellence in planning, execution, discipline, learning, leadership, and teamwork (exemplify Entegris PACE values)
  • Provide support for various documentation expectations such as business process documents, item tracking, performance reporting and continuous improvement project management.
  • Document Customer Complaints and work to identify the root cause and implement corrective action to prevent reoccurrence based on the data provided by all internal functions/organizations and through support of direct customer interactions.
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electric/Electronic Engineering; or related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in an engineering role in the areas of quality, process, equipment or materials within the semiconductor industry. Areas of interest include PVD/ CVD, CMP, Photo, Etch, Implant, BCD and Liquid/Air/Gas Filtration & Purification.
  • Experience managing issues and projects between internal stakeholders and customers with experience in escalation management and project management focused on closing gaps between company capabilities and customer needs.
  • Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology
  • Experience working from home and remotely collaborating with colleagues, customers and suppliers in virtual meetings is beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English and Mandarin.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours and alternate work shifts to balance workload across a North America and Asia scope of responsibility.
  • Experience with working and communicating between North America based manufacturing facilities and Asia based support teams and customers.

Ability to travel 10% to 30% domestic and international (in the post-COVID era)

  • CQE’s performance is measured by both quantitative and qualitative means that include both Customer and Entegris KPI’s that require CQE support and oversight as well as subjective interpersonal ratings from customers and internal stakeholders that are vital to the overall success of the CQE role.
