THE ROLE

A great opportunity for an experienced a Quality and Compliance focussed professional to lead our QA function in Sydney on a new long term frameworks contract in the water industry. 

The role will see you working closely with senior management and project teams. The role will report to the Program HSEQ Manager and supported by a well-established Senior Management team. You will be responsible for driving the Quality Management process to provide the best possible outcomes for both our clients and sub-contractors.

The role will be to pass on your industry experience onto others within the team and mentor upcoming staff over the 10 year contract opportunity.

Responsibilities will include

  • Provide leadership and support to the project teams – Project Managers, Engineers & Site Managers.
  • Assist with implementation of core systems and applications that relate to quality inputs/outputs.
  • Work with employees, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality assurance is managed across procurement, delivery and finalisation.
  • Undertake audits and inspections to assess compliance of the Quality System.
  • Report to management on the performance of the QMS
  • Raising & managing noncompliance reports, observations and defects
  • Continuously improving and maintaining the integrated management system to ensure ongoing certification to ISO 9001
  • Supporting and driving our continual improvement framework
  • Define, maintain and implement core processes and procedures relevant to QMS
  • Consult with project leaders to identify compliance issues and resolutions
  • Develop and implement Quality training programs across the organisation.
  • Provide day to day technical advice and support all project delivery teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will be a methodical individual with a high attention for detail. You will be able to work both autonomously on our projects as a solution’s focussed member of project delivery teams.

You will need;

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role ideally gained within Construction and or Utilities
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of statutory legislation, OH&S, quality standards and ISO accreditation
  • The ability to conduct audits and produce reports from audit results
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline
  • Ability to develop, nurture and maintain sound relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment
