As a Legal Writer in the Commercial Real Estate team you will write and develop premium quality content resources to be used by practicing lawyers.

In this highly collaborative role, you will be guided by our Head of Commercial Real Estate to use your practical expertise gained as a property lawyer to:

  • Research, draft, edit and update premium quality know-how resources including practice notes, standard documents and clauses, checklists and drafting notes in accordance with our established writing style.
  • Keep up-to-date with the law and monitor legal, practice and market developments in the property practice area.
  • Maintain relationships with the market to ensure the highest standards of content relevancy and currency.
  • Assist with supporting the sales and marketing teams to build customer relationships and participate in relevant marketing initiatives.
  • Write and edit content for internal magazines or online publications.


To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia, with minimum of 3 years PQE or comparable experience, in private practice or an in-house counsel role.
  • Experience in real property law, ideally with exposure to a variety of commercial property advisory and transactional areas, for example, acquisitions and disposals, leasing (commercial, industrial or retail), property development, titling work, property due diligence, FIRB and property law advisory.
  • Strong writing skills.
