Job Description

Our Real Estate practice acts for major corporations, investment funds and fund managers, financiers and government bodies on all aspects of property work. This includes acquisitions and disposals, development "from concept to completion", project management, subdivisions, leasing, infrastructure projects, due diligence, finance and structuring.

About the role

We are looking for a lawyer (3-5 years PAE) to join our Real Estate practice to work in our Sydney office alongside two well respected property partners who have recently joined the firm, Samuel Brown and Jennifer Degotardi. Our partners are successfully growing the Sydney Real Estate practice acting for property funds on capital transactions and portfolio management, for developers on urban renewal projects and large-scale infrastructure projects and for NSW government agencies.

As part of a global firm, our Real Estate practice has the ability to service our clients' needs both nationally and internationally and we are able to benefit from the experience of our overseas offices that are at the forefront of some of the property industry's innovative developments.

Working as part of a collegial team, you will have the opportunity to further develop your legal and commercial skills under the supervision and direction of supportive partners and senior lawyers.

What does the role involve?

  • Acting on acquisitions and disposals of development sites and built form commercial, industrial and retail assets
  • Acting on property developments and projects
  • Acting for investment funds on the repositioning of assets
  • Acting for developers and investment funds on investment structuring
  • Acting for landlords and major institutional tenants in relation to their portfolio management of commercial, industrial and retail premises
  • Acting on property aspects of infrastructure projects and M&A transactions
  • Supporting the group's business development activities
  • Contributing to knowledge and learning resources, including expanding on our base of established precedents

About You

A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills.
