About the Unit

There are more than 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2.5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. Smallholder regions are characterized by low living standards, high rates of illiteracy and low agricultural productivity. Yara's mission is "Responsibly Feed the World and Protect the Planet". Key to achieving this is enabling thriving Smallholder Communities. At Yara, the Smallholders Digital Team is part of the Crop and Digital Solutions Unit. 

About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work.  Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in activities related to recruitment, sourcing and applicant/candidate coordination. The focus of recruiting is on building long-term relationships, providing meaningful advice and feedback and maintaining a stable group of people who could fit present and future needs. We believe that successful recruitment is a long-term investment in meaningful people relationships.
  • Train and work with line-managers to ensure that they actively screen, shortlist and coordinate with suitable potential hires. Hiring managers are equally responsible for building and maintaining their networks. 
  • Organise meetings and prepare meetings materials and follow ups as required to discuss and present on recruitment approaches/strategies/data.
  • Identify additional channels for the team to source for talent and advise the team on best practices related to recruiting 

Profile

  • Must have experience recruiting for tech talent across software development, product, data and design.
  • Experience recruiting across all levels from fresh graduates to mid-senior hires
  • Personal interest in data-based decision making and relationship building. Believe in 'closing the loop' and see the importance of follow-up and regular communication with customers/service/job seekers.
  • Comfortable with reporting concisely, accurately and promptly on meetings and matters of relevance
