The Community & Consumer team has end to end accountability for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer and community requirements – from market research, marketing planning to brand positioning and product placement. We’re also strategically oversee advertising, promotional activities and understanding and influencing community and public relationships.

What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Senior Manager Local Area Markets, the Regional Local Area Markets Manager has accountability for the Business and Government Local Area Markets program.  A key focus for Local Area Markets is to identify, design and implement marketing initiatives that result in positive engagement with Business and Government customers and the community. It’s important that Local Area Marketing initiatives align to and support our B2B marketing strategy.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Deliver on the Local Area Market strategy by supporting the implementation and expansion of the Local Area Markets program
  • Drive revenue outcomes and customer focus to the frontline across all channels
  • Continually look for new ways to extend the Local Area Market program to grow our engagement with and revenue from Business and Government customers.
  • Increase Business & Government revenue within local catchments and enterprise
  • Marketing and program budget accountability
  • Drive returns on marketing campaigns and local area revenue generation activity

What are we looking for?

  • 5 + years’ experience in Business & Government marketing and or local area marketing in a large Corporate or Government environment
  • Experience developing and delivering large, complex programs across multiple internal and external channels
  • Developed organisational problem solving skills with an ability to analyse and develop strategies to deliver solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to gain support, convince, present and consult, and represent Australia Post in internal and external forums.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, including negotiating, persuading and influencing across all levels
