About the Registered Nurse Graduate Program 2020 - Blended Stream

The Graduate Nurse Program (GNP) provides an opportunity for newly registered nurses to make the transition to professional practice in a structured and supported 12 month program. As part of the GNP, graduate nurses are supported to consolidate and develop clinical and professional competence, in line with the Registered Nurse standards for practice, commensurate with the expected level and experience of a beginning practitioner. Graduates are expected to attend all study days and complete and submit all required assessment tasks and hurdle requirements to receive a certificate of completion.

Essential:
01.Graduates are required to be a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions prior to commencing the Blended Stream Graduate Nurse Program at Bendigo Health.

02.Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered nurse standards for practice, Code of ethics and Code of professional conduct for nurses in Australia.

03.Demonstrated commitment to providing person centred care which focuses on the individual and their support networks.

04.Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to enable interaction with a diverse range of people.

05.A personal approach which demonstrates a high level of professionalism, self-confidence and enthusiasm whilst operating in an environment of change.

06.Established nursing skills and ability to work within safe practice principles at the level of a beginning registered nurse as evidenced by clinical placement reports and academic transcript.
