We are very happy to be offering an opportunity for an experienced professional to join us in a key role as the Regulatory Reporting Manager for AIG Europe SA (“AESA”). The role is responsible to assist the Solvency II Reporting Leads to deliver and meet all regulatory reporting compliance (Solvency II, Solvency I, Branch Reporting, Trade bodies and associations etc) for AESA and its branches. The job-holder will be responsible to set up processes where required and engage with stakeholders to enable regulatory reporting and consolidation.

Job summary

  • Technical and process scoping of all regulatory reporting requirements for AESA, including, but not limited to, Solvency II, Solvency I, branch reporting, trade bodies and associations and US regulatory reporting
  • Production of all quarterly and annual regulatory reporting requirements for AESA, including ad-hoc information requests or queries relating to prior submissions

Key Accountabilities & Duties:

Accountable to deliver Solvency I compliance within the 4 weeks reporting timeline. Accountable to deliver Solvency II compliance within the 5 weeks reporting timeline. Accountable to meet all other regulatory filings required for a LUX regulated company including EU branch reporting and trade bodies and associations Work closely with the London based SII team to address all queries raised and resolve issues on a timely basis Managing data governance audits, internal audits (including FCU and SOX) and external audits Provide technical reporting requirements support to legal and compliance team Responsible for overall reporting plan, governance and stakeholder management. Work closely with the India FC team to timely production of the regulatory returns Provide regular feedbacks and train the India FC team To conduct analytical reviews on judgements and assumptions used for the regulatory reporting Develop and maintain regulatory policies and methodologies to support the regulatory reporting Implement best practices and ensure effective and efficient processes are disseminated across Ad-hoc work as and when required for Suggest improvements in the reporting process and work closely with the project team to implement changes

Skills and experience

Qualified Accountant or equivalent with minimum 10 years of experience in Group Finance & Accounting with extensive financial reporting experience Insurance/Financial Services experience Strong accounting technical knowledge in US GAAP/LUX GAAP/IFRS/Solvency II /Solvency I E-File experience mandatory Strong excel modelling skills and hands on experience with other office applications Evidence of identifying and acting upon process inefficiencies Previous experience within multinational environment and working across cultures Proven track record of delivery Used to working to tight deadlines Strong ability to multi-task Strong team player and highly pro-active Able to maintain motivation and deliver quality without supervision Strong communication & presentation skills, written and verbal
