We are currently seeking an Accounting & Reporting Manager to join the team in our Australian headquarters, based in the Sydney CBD. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting and Shared Services with a dotted line to the VP & MD ANZ you will effectively lead and manage the overall accounting, financial reporting and compliance of Tiffany & Co. Australia & New Zealand.
What will your day-to-day look like?
You'll provide monthly financial, statutory reporting to U.S head office according to IFRS and USGAAP
You will be in charge of the core accounting function, fixed assets, taxes, and internal compliance
You will be in touch with our external auditors and make sure TCO complies with all the requirements
You will manage and develop a team of four: Assistant Accountant, Senior Finance Accountant, AP, AR
You will be able to make a real impact and play a critical role in the change management process of implementing a new system (JDE)
You'll collaborate daily with the Retail and FP&A team in ANZ as well as the more extensive Finance & Accounting team in APAC (Singapore and Hong Kong) and NYC
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA or CA qualification
Background in a BIG4 environment. Second mover preferred
US GAAP, Australian GAAP, and IFRS knowledge and experience
5+ years’ experience in the accounting industry
Experience successfully managing a team during a change period
Experience in a multinational corporate environment
Good interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated and analytical mind
Experience in implementing new ERP accounting system, SAP/ JDE Enterprise One preferred. Change management experience is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
High level of self-management and ability to prioritize and function amidst tight deadlines and changing priorities
Strong Microsoft Word and Advanced Excel skills
