Job Description

Responsibilities:
+ Ability to independently research credit fundamentals and evaluate investment opportunities across various sectors.
+ Analyze financial statements, business risk, market technicals, and relative value to generate corporate bond investment ideas for various investment vehicles.
+ Work with senior analysts and Portfolio Managers to make buy, sell and hold recommendations.
+ Perform investment strategy analysis for multiple industrial / financial sectors.
+ Develop comprehensive industry frameworks and credit reviews for periodic presentations to Portfolio Management.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with sell-side sector analysts, managements of primary corporate holdings and rating agencies.
+ Collaborate with Research and Portfolio Management to analyze macro factors and broad market dynamics that have implications for investment strategy.
+ Additional responsibilities include support in the process of trade modelling and trade execution for all bond portfolios including investing new money and monitoring and managing daily cash flows.
+ Assist in the daily monitoring of portfolios to ensure mandates remain in compliance with detailed guidelines.
Requirements:
+ Minimum two to five years corporate credit research experience with exposure to multiple-industries. Formal credit training and/or exposure to the fixed income markets preferred.
+ Completion or progress toward MBA and/or CFA preferred.
+ Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet applications required.
+ Proficiency in the use of computer tools such as Bloomberg, Excel.
+ Highly motivated, with strong written and verbal communications skills.
+ Works well in a team environment.
+ NASD Series 7 at hire or shortly thereafter.
