We are looking for a research associate to join our team in Singapore and help us to develop new innovative products and technologies. The ideal candidate would have industry experience in the field of cell culture including viral vector development and production and would be highly motivated to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment. This role reports to the Head of Innovation domain Cell & Tissue Systems.


  • Perform various cell culture and cell biology experiment including adherent and suspension culture (2D, 3D and bioreactor)
  • Support the setup of new technologies and the organization of a new technological platform.
  • Work with the project managers and scientists to bring ideas to reality while following the procedures and SOPs in place.
  • Evaluate data and present results to the team and to various stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Participation in the laboratory management duties such as procurement, inventory management and coordination of equipment maintenance.


  • The candidate should hold a master’s degree in biotechnology, biology or other relevant life sciences field with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Some experience in biotechnology, biopharmaceutical or related industry is required.
  • Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture, with the ability to quickly adapt to different types of cell culture and processes (adherent, suspension, bioreactor).
  • Proven background in handling viruses and/or viral vectors is needed, as well as knowledge of associated methods such as transfection, infection and analytics (not limited to flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR) MOI determination, viral particle quantification). 
  • Knowledge of cell therapy and scale-up of processes is an advantage.
  • Can work in teams and individually while communicating clearly at different levels.
