Associate Revenue Controller

The Associate Revenue controller is the key support for all revenue processes for the Benelux market. You will work closely with the Revenue Controller to maintain compliance with the Global Centre Of Excellence (COE) standards and ensure that effective internal controls associated with revenue & collections processes are in place and continuously monitored.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Concretely, as Associate Revenue Controller, you will be part of the business life-cycle by giving support and partner with different stakeholders inside & outside the company. This encloses…

  1. Support to our teams
  • Partner with the Commercial team concerning Sales Proposal, contracts & order processing by clarifying USGAAP/Stat rules and contract interpretation and by providing training whenever it’s necessary. 
  • Assist the Revenue Controller on revenue closing activities including accruals, provisions and reconciliations, and ensure they are appropriate and accurate and are performed in accordance with US-GAAP/Stat rules and Global COE processes
  • Support the Revenue Controller in adopting a Global & Regional COE agenda and link in with offshore partners to ensure an adequate management of and reporting on the following:
    • Customer invoicing, credit management, and customer credit verification
    • Accounts Receivable management including cash collection and allocation
    • Revenue recognition
  • Support the Revenue Controller during audits (CAS, statutory, VAT, etc.) based on Global/Regional COE standards
  • Support regional statutory compliance related to revenue accounting and monitor and provide guidance on related statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audit
  • Support the Revenue Controller, Global & Regional COE Leaders on all other projects pertaining to the scope of the Benelux market and on IT/Digital projects pertaining to revenue processes
  1. Controlling
  • Assist the Revenue Controller on controls on revenue processes and ensuring adequate controllership is maintained at all times and take action on flagged control misses
  1. Information & Reporting
  • Provide support to the Revenue Controller and Finance Business Partner by providing clarity on orders and contracts, revenue, billing and receivables and credit management
  • Provide information for Revenue-related reporting to the Global COE

WHAT DO WE EXPEXT FROM YOU?

If you are a dynamic person with a background of Revenue Controlling, Audit or Accounting/Finance field, able to work independently and not afraid of working with remote counterparts, this opportunity is perfect for you!

As candidate, you will have preferably:

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A first experience with some legal contract exposure
  • Strong relation-building and communication skills
  • SAP & Salesforce software knowledge (or at least basic experience with similar software)  
  • Microsoft office competence 
  • An experience working in multinational, multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent in Dutch and/or French with a good command of the other language
  • Business English is a must-have
