About the Role:
Responsible for supporting R&D projects for multiple Boston Scientific Divisions. Projects include external and capital systems with a focus on Analogue electronics and medium-power low-frequency RF generation. The role will involve frequent interactions with external entities in clinical/ non-clinical settings to complete research activities, identification / development of system requirements and presentations on work product / progress to senior leadership team.
Design and develop RF transmission circuit;
Provide guidance and direction in relation to Capital Equipment system evolution and future proofing, which contains RF modules.
Provide technical expertise to ensure schematic circuit design and PCB layout adheres to EMC standards;
Perform frequency analysis and simulation for boundary case or worst-case conditions;
Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering or similar (Electrical, Power)
5 years of experience as a Design Engineer with an emphasis on Power electronics
Experience in developing and analysing analogue power circuits
Design experience in the use of high-power op-amp design
Familiarity with transformer design and magnetics
Broad experience in a range of power conversion methods such as linear and switching
Experience with simulation tools such as LT Spice
Display a knowledge of the laboratory equipment and analysis of the test results
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with mentoring junior engineers
Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation techniques
Experience in developing medical device products
Hands-on experience with embedded systems
Familiarity with C/C++ or other software/firmware development
Experience with Altium Designer

Education and Experience:
Level 8 Degree or higher
Candidate must have at least 5+ years’ experience electronics design with a focus on analogue electronics and RF generation.
