We Are…
Walt Disney World, Disney Reservation Center’s Internal Communications team is a premier corporate communication department. We support approximately 2,500 Cast Members who work at our Orlando and Tampa offices by providing the information they need to make magic for our Guests each and every day with every interaction.
Through this internship, Professional Interns may have the opportunity to prepare key messages for print, developing strategic cohesive internal messages, support information flow to Cast Members across multiple disciplines and write engaging messages for one of the most well-known brands in the world. Candidates should be passionate about communication and Disney.

Responsibilities :
Be a part of a transformative team and culture…
  • This is a fast-paced internal communication role, working with the Travel Ops Product and Cast Experience team, located in Orlando, Florida
  • Develop communication and related tactics that resonate with our diverse Travel Operations Cast members, including senior leadership. The Professional Intern will create and deliver relevant, timely messaging for internal communication.
  • Writing internal communications to be published through the Walt Disney Company intranet (The Hub)/Travel Ops dedicated tab, emails, and other electronic postings.
  • Desktop publishing for fliers, posters, dynamic signage and presentations
  • Create, edit and format photography and videos, used in print and electronic communications
  • Successfully communicate utilizing a variety of mediums accommodating all communication preferences within Travel Operations
  • Maintain and improve existing communication vehicles, such as a dynamic signage system and video monitors
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization in developing Travel Operations communication
  • Participate in consultative projects encompassing internal communication strategies.

What you bring to the role…
  • Experience in writing, editing and proofreading
  • Knowledge and experience in communicating content to a broad diverse audience
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal, partnering and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated desktop publishing or graphic design experience
  • Basic knowledge in photography and creating/editing videos
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Experience on Windows and iOS operating systems
  • Proficiency Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of the Walt Disney World Resort property and offerings, current or former Cast Member experience is preferred
  • Related experience within Marketing and/or Public Affairs
  • Previous work/internship experiences with a communication focus
  • Consultative experience and critical thinking within a communications environment


Required Education :
  • Currently enrolled, or graduated within 6 months of the start date of this internship, in an accredited college or university earning a degree in Marketing, Communication or related major
