Verizon Media is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and customer-obsessed Account Director to join the Tech and Telco team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling self-service and managed access to Verizon Media’s DSPs

  • Responsible for platform revenue generation, client satisfaction and a clear understanding of client needs to identify opportunities for continued product usage and adoption

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Tech and Telco clients

  • Develop a strategic plan to achieve target revenue goals; hit or exceed these revenue goals

  • Partner with clients to understand strategic needs and deliver Verizon Media resources to meet not only advertising needs, but overarching business needs

  • Develop and expand client/agency partnerships with rigorous and detailed attention to client service

  • Understand and effectively communicate Verizon Media’s value proposition, technology, processes, and partnerships as they relate to the growth of current and prospective client accounts

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the digital media industry including developing innovations in mobile, social, and programmatic buying

  • Develop custom client solutions utilizing Verizon Media!’s entire suite of products including Audience, Video, Native and Content

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all clients and agency partners of his vertical, managing (as a point of contact) a cross-functional team to attend their needs/objectives.

  • Develop a strategic plan to achieve target revenue goals; hit or exceed these revenue goals

  • Partner with clients to understand strategic needs and deliver Verizon Media! resources to meet not only advertising needs, but overarching business needs

  • Develop and expand client/agency partnerships with rigorous and detailed attention to client service

  • Understand and effectively communicate Verizon Media’s value proposition, technology, processes, and partnerships as they relate to the growth of current and prospective client accounts

  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting these to the organization; report on the macro and micro forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the digital media industry including developing innovations in mobile, social, and programmatic buying

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in online advertising or software companies

  • Very good understanding of the programmatic landscape

  • Proven track record as a trusted advisor to clients.

  • Deep understanding of the digital media industry with an ability to credibly articulate strategic insights for clients based on data/research.

  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close—including stakeholder identification, customer influence, relationship building, and closing.

  • Strong skills in solution development and ability to produce client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions that improve/accelerate client campaigns. 

  • Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and position them against competitors.

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills;

  • Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Previous experience and understanding of programmatic buy and Audience solutions

  • Fluency in English
