Role- Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Your day to day will see you...

  • Work hard, have fun and enjoy a great team working environment

  • Discover net-new business opportunities alongside enterprise sales team & commercial marketing engine to support the lead journey and commercial revenue growth

  • Conduct high-level discovery calls into warm and cold leads over the phone, social media and remote selling

  • Leverage marketing activities and communication such as demand generation, physical and virtual events and digital campaigns.

  • Manage sales & marketing qualified leads, opportunity conversion and sales pipeline progression to meet the quarterly targets and key KPIs

  • Identify and expand relevant audience personas within the focused accounts

  • Support the event audience acquisition programs and post-activity follow up

  • Track the progress and provide regular updates to reporting manager and key internal stakeholders including the marketing director and sales leader

  • Maintain lead data hygiene and accuracy in the CRM

  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge, research, topical discussions, and market competitiveness

What you bring to the role

  • Passion, motivation and drive

  • A good understanding of phone-based selling and new business prospecting (required).

  • Basic understanding of IT industry, enterprise security solution, and cloud market (preferred)

  • Prior experience in managing and generating Qualified opportunities for Account Manager’s (preferred)

  • Ability to demonstrate effective ways to reach the right prospects and position the right solution to solve their challenges

  • Ability to identify potential ‘qualified’ opportunities (experience with sales methodologies such as BANT criteria preferred however training is available) and consistently achieve the daily KPIs and quarterly targets

  • Experience in managing conversations with different audience personas including (but not limited to) C-suite, Security Managers, Solution architects, Cloud engineers and developers

  • Previous experience in a similar role for security software vendor or cloud service provider is well regarded

  • Prior experience with using CRM to manage all your Leads and Opportunities, preferably Salesforce.com preferred

  • Fulltime contract with Randstad Australia (on behalf of Trend Micro Australia)
