We facilitate over 70 million patient consults each year by providing software solutions for General Practitioners, Specialists, Pharmacists and Hospitals.

The Sales Development Representative is focused on growing revenue by increasing utilisation of key partner solutions by MedicalDirector’s customer base. The role is primarily a telephone based sales/service role where the representative acts as subject matter expert in partner solutions and maintains contact with MedicalDirector customers to understand their needs and promote appropriate partners. Customer contact may involve both customer education and sales, as well as enablement and on-boarding where appropriate. In addition, the Sales Representative will train the client management team on partner solutions and assisting in broader engagement of partner solutions such as soliciting and collating customer feedback


Requirements


In this role, you will:

  • Sell - You will contact MedicalDirector customers via telephone to determine their present and future business needs. This will include proposing suitable products and services to grow revenue.
  • Analyse & Identify - You will identify, plan and propose call campaigns for key partner solutions. This will be done through analysing customers accounts using Salesforce CRM and maintaining the CRM for pipeline/activity management. The main goal here will be to build calling lists related to our target customers.
  • Learn - Build healthcare industry knowledge and ongoing market awareness to understand MedicalDirector's customers, their day to day challenges and how our partner solutions will benefit the customer. You will also maintain product knowledge on key partner solutions as the partner subject matter expert; with the ability to demonstrate and explain these product integrations to potential or existing customers.
  • Target - Set and maintain telephone call rates to ensure contact with customers is regular, this will include acting as the subject matter expert on partner solutions to increase adoption of these solutions.
  • Partner - Feed relevant market, product, customer and competitor information back to the business in a constructive and educative way.
  • Educate - Maintaining key partner documents including partner overviews and ‘how to guides and engage and train the client management team on partner solutions.
  • Research - Managing customer research programs in partnership with the Ecosystem Product Lead, through telephone contact with customers


You should have:

  • Previous sales experience, in particular telephone sales.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems and reporting.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Solid grounding in selling skills – consultative selling, solution selling, negotiation, closing.
  • Health Industry knowledge and experience preferable.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve KPI targets.
  • Ability to prioritise own work to achieve outcomes.
  • High degree of autonomy – ability to proactively seek out further knowledge of MedicalDirector’s partner solutions and drive campaign activities.
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales opportunities over the phone.
  • Professional approach and outstanding personal presentation.
