The role:

StreamSets is looking for a results-oriented individual, who enjoys working in a faced paced, start-up environment. Do you have high-tech background, experience successfully selling open-source or enterprise software and managing key strategic relationships in North America? Are you able to successfully sell to a technical user base and VP- or C-level executive? As an Enterprise Sales Director, you will be responsible for prospecting, generating opportunities, closing new business and growing our customer base. 


This can be located anywhere in Southern Europe.


Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and effectively communicating StreamSets value proposition to potential customers
  • Managing numerous opportunities concurrently and strategically through various sales stages to closure, while mitigating risk and maximizing upside
  • Maintaining pipeline, managing forecast, closing deals, and track customer data using salesforce.com.
  • Closing business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual booking objectives
  • Traveling as needed to customer sites
  • Developing sales best practices securing repeatable and expansive opportunities
  • Working closely with field engineering team and product demo to deliver critical client feedback regarding the development of the product; collaborating with support team as need
  • Closing (on average) one net new transaction/month (100k ACV)

And you have:

  • Experience exceeding quotas in software sales
  • Technical acumen to sell to technical customers
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience carrying similar quota (1M) and deal sizes (5-6 figures)
  • Relevant domain experience – open source, big data, data integration
  • Experience selling products, services, subscription and renewals, as both single & multi-year deals
