Markit Digital is seeking an Associate Sales Executive to support and grow our business in the Asia Pacific Region, based in our Sydney, Australia office.

As the sales representative for APAC, you will have broad responsibility for achieving Markit Digital's business and sales within the region. This includes new business growth, customer and account management, and product development.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, problem solver, clear writer, excellent communicator, team collaborator, and available to travel domestically and internationally. Candidates should be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively, are well-spoken, professional, and are able to present confidently to small and large groups including at the Executive level.

Core responsibilities of the role:
+ You will represent APAC for the Digital business from a sales perspective, communicating opportunities and challenges to management as well as providing market local feedback to inform the product roadmap.
+ You will work closely with the APAC Regional Head to build and maintain a sales pipeline in the region
+ You will be responsible to drive all aspects of business development including lead generation, relationship building, pipeline management, proposal development, high level solutions design, and pricing
+ You will have the support of regional sales and account managers. They will work with you to enable the growth of the business by relying on their existing relationships across the financial services market to identify new opportunities
+ You will use your existing relationships and expand your network to help identify and prioritise target customer groups and regional areas of focus based on market opportunity
+ You will use your local expertise to have input into the Markit Digital product roadmap, to help tailor offerings to better meet local market needs
+ You will actively seek out appropriate platforms to publicise Markit Digital’s capabilities and to position us as a design and technology leader in each regional market
+ You will develop and maintain relationships with senior level client stakeholders, and work closely with them to understand their businesses and how Markit Digital can help them to be more successful
+ You will assist in customer retention, ensuring customer satisfaction leading up to contract renewals
+ You will prepare commercial proposals and contracts
+ You will contribute to ongoing product development effort by compiling client and market feedback
+ You will work closely with the product teams in the US to become a product expert for Markit Digital’s business
Desired qualifications include:
+ Expertise in analyzing clients’ needs and requirements, preferably having consultative sales experience or worked as a sales engineer
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Experience in Software Development preferable
+ Relationship development and cultivation with key customers and prospects
+ Working with product/sales groups in the development of opportunities and execution of contracts
+ Assist in the management of the entire sales lifecycle of a deal including liaising with senior sales people and client support to provide ongoing support and training to existing clients
+ Identify new business opportunities, and assist in broadening the client base
+ Maintain regular client contact including regular onsite visits
+ Familiarity with contract and invoicing processes, from the client perspective
+ Maintain contract overviews
+ Provide process improvement suggestions
Job Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and at least two to five years equivalent experience, preferably in a high technology environment
+ Experience in the Financial, Software, and/or Digital sectors strongly preferred
+ Software: InDesign, SalesForce, Microsoft Office, experience with programming platforms such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Vue, NodeJS or others preferred
